When applying for the scholarship, the student needs to be enrolled in the Insurance and Financial Planning Minor program offered at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh; Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA; Demonstrated leadership skills in student organizations or extracurricular activities, core values in alignment with those emphasized in SECURA’s core principles; Preference may be given to students whose primary residency is in one of the following WI counties: Brown, Calumet, Fond du Lac, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara, or Winnebago; Previous recipients may re-apply each year they are eligible.

Sophomore or junior male college students entering their junior or senior year at St. Norbert College as a full-time student; Graduated from a high school in the Fox Cities (Appleton, Hortonville, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Menasha, Neenah); Pursuing a degree (major or minor) in Theology & Religious Studies or in Peace & Justice; Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA for the first 2 years of college; Demonstrated learning outside the classroom, such as participation in activities, career development, and/or involvement in community service/service to others; Demonstrated “life well-lived,” centered on Norbertine and Roman Catholic values, and continually doing good work by inspiring and improving the lives of others; Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond; Students may apply each year they are eligible.

Non-traditional students (age 25 or older) attending Fox Valley Technical College as a part-time or full-time student; Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA; Experienced work history; Preference will be given to students exhibiting the following: Minimum of five years of work history or military service; Pursuing majors or coursework within the Computer and Information Sciences, or Business; Plan to work while attending school; Financial need will be considered.
