Meet Heather!
Hello! My name is Heather Judge, and I’m grateful to be a new team member at this wonderful community foundation! I joined the Community Foundation in February as a Donor Services Coordinator. I will be providing support to the Vice President of Donor Services and Gift Planning, Megan Schuessler. It has been a pleasure meeting with and learning from my new colleagues. Their depth of knowledge and sincere willingness to be of service to the Foundation and communities is inspiring. I have a new appreciation for the notorious Midwestern Kindness!
In September I moved to Green Bay after living in Rhode Island (that’s the tiny state between Massachusetts and Connecticut!) my entire life. Some say it was brave, others say it was impulsive, my friends and family say it was because of my love of the Green Bay Packers and that I wanted to live near Lambeau Field. I say it was time for a change and opportunities unfolded in such a way that I made the leap, (pun intended).
Having lived along the Atlantic coast, I have a deep passion for the oceans, water ways, marine life, and environmental conservation. I have a special affinity for turtles in general and sea turtles specifically. I am a lover of all animals, with a few exceptions, such as bats. Long story for another time, but bats are at the bottom of my “would like to have another live encounter” list. I love being outdoors and exploring the new environments in Wisconsin.
Last July I completed my bachelor’s degree in communications. I took classes through Florida International University Online and chose not to attend graduation in-person. However, I did have a wonderful graduation party, and the timing was fortuitous. I was able to see my family and friends before I left for Wisconsin.

Heather’s Dog Phoenix
I am also the devoted human to my cat, Lily and my dog, Phoenix. I adopted Lily in February of 2020, and we bonded very closely during the lockdown. She adopted the role of my WFH manager ensuring that I was seated at my computer working as much as possible, mostly so she could sit on my lap or neck. I adopted Phoenix in June of last year. She adopted the role of my personal trainer as she is still young and needs to exercise A LOT. She also loves exploring the trails and waterways here in Wisconsin.
Gardening, especially with flowers, brings me so much joy! The combination of flowers, my furry friends and my photography hobby can make a challenging day into a beautiful day.

Lily, Heather’s WFH Manager & Cat
Professionally I have worn many hats, most recently as the Planned Gift Administrator for Plan International USA, where I also worked with the Database and Research, Philanthropy, and Donor Services teams. Prior to that I worked for many years in the Human Services field in various capacities with adults who have differing abilities. It was challenging and rewarding, and I still find myself smiling when a memory of an individual with whom I worked drifts through my mind.
I am thrilled to join the Foundation, and I look forward to making many memories with you all upon which I can fondly look back.
