2025 Scholarship Season Kicked Off December 1
The 2025 scholarship season kicked off December 1 and we are excited to announce that more than $2 million in scholarships is available for students to help them on their educational journeys. As the manager of the largest scholarship program in the Fox Valley, this is a record-breaking dollar amount for the Community Foundation.
“Many thanks to the generous donors who are partnering with us to make this incredible achievement happen,” said Choua Schommer, Scholarship Manager.
Last spring, 526 scholarships totaling $1.75 million were awarded to students from 238 scholarship funds. We partner with more than 60 schools from our service area including our affiliate partners in Brillion, Chilton, Clintonville, Shawano, and Waupaca.
The scholarships make a tremendous difference in the lives of students. Isabella is a continuing college student who received the Miller Family Music Education Scholarship that supports students who major in the music field. She provided us with an update on her musical studies.
“This was another semester full of exciting, challenging educational opportunities. I toured graduate schools and saw lots of incredible theatre in London over spring break, and rehearsals kicked into high gear for the world academic premiere of Black Square, a new dystopian opera directed by Nathan Gunn that ran for the first weekend in April. I also auditioned for the International Lyric Academy’s musical theatre program for the summer, and spent an incredible two weeks in Vicenza, Italy in their concert production of Les Misérables. I look forward to another school year of fulfilling opportunities, made possible by this scholarship,” said Isabella.
Students are able to apply for scholarships through our user-friendly scholarship portal that includes a frequently asked questions section along with accessibility tools for non-English speaking applicants and people with visual challenges. Most scholarship deadlines to apply are in spring of 2025. You can find more information at cffoxvalley.org/scholarships.
