Giving Tuesday – A Kick-off to the Season of Giving
Today is Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement that has been taking place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving since 2012! Giving Tuesday inspires us to act. Our donations of time, talent, and treasure play a pivotal role in helping nonprofit organizations fulfill their missions focused on improving well-being and solving problems that lead to greater flourishing for all.
Here are three ways you can help make a difference this Giving Tuesday and beyond:
- Between December 3-27, go to cffoxvalley.org/match to learn about year-end matching gift opportunities being offered by nonprofit organizations in our service region and double your gift.
- Mark your calendar for December 18 for the Community Foundation’s Red Kettle Match Day! A total of 12 charitable funds within the Foundation will match $50,000 in donations to the Salvation Army Fox Cities’ red kettles.
- Calumet County Salvation Army will hold its Red Kettle Match in Brillion on two Saturdays thanks to the Robert and Patricia Endries Family Foundation, one of our supporting organization partners, that will match up to $15,000 in donations at Tadych’s Marketplace Foods on December 7 and December 14.
Many nonprofits also have volunteer opportunities. Visit VolunteerFoxCities.org to see volunteer needs and wish lists in the Volunteer Connections’ Holiday Guide.
Together, our gifts will make a positive impact in the communities we call home. Thank you for strengthening our community for future generations by helping people make a difference in the lives of all. Together, we flourish!
