Join us for Connection Matters: Funding Cuts, Human Costs

For many years, federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding has been a lifeline for nonprofit organizations serving victims in our community, particularly survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault (DV/SA). However, significant reductions to this funding beginning in 2024 have created challenges for many agencies to maintain the level of services needed.

Join us for a powerful conversation with leaders from state and local DV/SA organizations affected by the reductions and explore how these changes will impact victim-serving organizations in our area. Together, we will discuss how we can collectively support survivors and ensure they continue to receive the vital services they need.

The event Connection Matters: Funding Cuts, Human Costs will be held on Friday, October 25 at the Women’s Fund office, 4455 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, WI 54914.

  • 8:00 am registration and light breakfast
  • 8:30-10:00 am program (speakers to be announced)
  • Networking and connection time following

Register and learn more about the event here.
