We welcome Micah Beck as Community Engagement Coordinator!
Hello! My name is Micah Beck, and I recently joined the Community Foundation as a Community Engagement Coordinator.
Before joining the Community Foundation, I received my Master of Public Service from the University of Arkansas-Clinton School of Public Service. My graduate education focused on program planning and evaluation in the nonprofit/public sector, skills that align well with the support I will provide to the Community Engagement team.
Before joining the Foundation, I thru-hiked the entirety of the Appalachian Trail. The 2,200-mile hike, which spans from Maine to Georgia, took about six months.
The time I spent on the trail was full of magical moments, new friends, cool animal sightings, and traveling through 14 states I had not spent much (or any!) time in.
I am originally from De Pere, and after years away in Germany, Iowa, Nevada, and Arkansas, I am thrilled to be back in the area, close to family and friends, and supporting the mission of the Community Foundation.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with loved ones, and learning about/exploring the natural world!
