As you navigate the whirlwind of the holiday season, the Community Foundation is excited to bring new opportunities for end-of-year charitable gifts. Whether you are out and about in the community or looking for giving ideas from the comfort of home, here are two great ways to double your gifts when you support the nonprofits serving and strengthening the Fox Valley:

Community Grants Opportunity tool

Your Community Foundation has launched an online tool making it easy to double your charitable gifts to local nonprofits. We’ve curated a list of organizations offering dollar-for-dollar matches on every donation. It’s a tool that strengthens the work our nonprofit organizations are doing to help our communities flourish.

“Our new Community Grants Opportunity tool helps champion diverse community needs and invites donors to engage in a truly collective impact,” says Cindy Hoffman, director of database operations for the Community Foundation. “With our new tool, donors can witness the immediate ripple effect of their funding, adding an element of excitement to the philanthropic journey!”

Simply browse our curated list of matching gift opportunities and view the amount that other donors have funded so far. If you would like to add your gift to the funding total, click Donate. Once our giving campaign period has ended, the Community Foundation will send one check to each organization, along with a complete listing of all donors for recognition purposes. If you would like your gift to be anonymous, please indicate that when submitting.

Double your gift with a simple click

If you have a donor advised fund at the Community Foundation, you can make a year-end gift to these organizations or to your favorite charitable causes via your Fund Advisor Portal. Talk with your Donor Services contact and make your gift before our recommended December 18 deadline to ensure your transaction is processed by the end of the year.

Doubling Impact with Red Kettles

Our Community Foundation Salvation Army – Fox Cities’ Match Day was Friday, December 1, and raised a record $52,118.14! It’s the largest match day of the Red Kettle campaign in the Fox Cities this year.

A huge thanks to 13 generous donors with funds at the Community Foundation who matched all donations raised that day up to $50,000:

Calumet County Salvation Army will hold its Red Kettle Match in Brillion on two Saturdays thanks to The Robert & Patricia Endries Family Foundation, one of our supporting organizations, which will match up to $10,000 for donations at Tadych’s Marketplace Foods (formerly Econo Foods), on Saturday, December 2 and December 9 from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. 

The Red Kettle donations will be used by the Salvation Army to provide year-round services such as its daily meal program, food pantry, transitional housing, and rent/utility assistance. The organization also provides toys, food baskets, and gifts to families in need at Christmas.
