Community Foundation welcomes Michelle Weber as CFO
Hi! My name is Michelle Weber, and I recently joined the Community Foundation as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In my role, I oversee the finance, database operations, Human Resources and Information Technology functions of the Community Foundation.
I’ve spent the past 18 years working in a public accounting firm’s national not-for-profit practice, including the last five years as partner. While I’m very proud of all the organizations throughout the country that I’ve helped during those years, I’m extremely excited to bring my knowledge, expertise and passion for philanthropy to my own community.
My husband, Mike and I celebrated 23 years of marriage this September. We share a lot of similar interests like golfing, reading, local theater and arts, baseball and U.S. travel.
A recent trip included wintering in Arkansas and seeking out many of the houses and locations highlighted on the popular “Fixer to Fabulous” HGTV show. (We’ve likewise done similar trips in Waco, Texas, with the HGTV show “Fixer Upper.”)
Another passion of ours is visiting lighthouses and we have seen hundreds in various states and countries.
We relocated to the Fox Valley from the Milwaukee area in June 2022. We moved for two important reasons — we fell in love with all that the area had to offer and it brings us halfway closer to our cottage in Door County. Exploring our new community has been very exciting and rewarding.
I look forward to working with so many of you as I continue my life’s passion to help organizations (and people) who do good, do it well!
Michelle Weber is the CFO for the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
