Madi Schneider joins the team!

Hello! My name is Madi Schneider, and I am the newest member of the Community Foundation’s Community Engagement Team!

Madi and “Otter”

The Foundation’s commitment to helping area nonprofits succeed greatly aligns with my interests and passions which made me incredibly excited to come onboard!

I am originally from Appleton, but more recently lived in Minnesota while my partner attended graduate school in Minneapolis. Although I enjoyed my time in the Twin Cities, I came to realize that I am definitely a Wisconsinite at heart and was missing home a lot! I loved growing up in Appleton, and believe the community here is truly special, so I am extremely happy to be living back in the area.

Piper and Millie

Before moving to Minnesota, I worked at the Trout Museum of Art and Special Olympics Wisconsin, which is where I first became familiar with the Community Foundation. I saw firsthand the positive impact a singular grant could make to a nonprofit and feel so lucky to now be working for the foundation that helps financially support these local organizations.

When I am not working, I spend a lot of time with friends and family. I love hanging out, having game nights, trying new restaurants, watching movies, hosting bonfires, or really anytime I get to see them! I am also a huge animal lover, so my family includes my two cats (Piper and Millie) and my dog Otter. Their favorite activities with me are a little different though (a lot of walks and couch cuddles).

In addition to all those activities, I really enjoy traveling. My most recent adventures include France, Puerto Rico, and Sequoia National Park.

I feel so fortunate to not only live in a city that I love, but to work for an organization where I am able to give back directly to my community. It really is the best of both worlds, and I look forward to supporting the Community Foundation’s mission through my role!
