Estate gift to benefit Chilton community forever
As a long-time member of the Chilton community, Ruth Bolz knew she wanted to leave a legacy that would strengthen the town she was born and raised in. Ruth passed away in January, and her estate gift to the Chilton Area Community Foundation will forever improve the quality of life in Chilton. Celebrating 20 years, the Chilton Area Community Foundation is one of five geographic affiliates we partner with in the Fox Valley.
“A few years ago Ruth began attending our community foundation’s events and dinners, and we struck up a conversation about drafting an estate plan that included the foundation,” explains Ruth’s attorney, Derek McDermott, who also chairs the Chilton Area Community Foundation.
Ruth’s estate gift has established an unrestricted endowment fund in her name, the Ruth Bolz Memorial Fund. The fund will support the greatest needs within the Chilton area, as determined by the Chilton Area Community Foundation advisory board, forever.
“Ruth knew that she wanted to help shape the community for future generations, and thanks to her generosity, her fund will make that happen,” says McDermott.
