“That’s the ticket!” Shawano man makes an impact
“Give me two inches.”
If you’ve sold raffle tickets at a community event in Shawano County, there’s a good chance you’ve heard Charlie Harvey’s no-fuss manner of purchasing his preferred quantity of tickets as a way to give back to his community.
Charlie learned early that when people are in need, you help each other. The Red Barn at Charlie’s County Market in Shawano is a well-known example of how Charlie gives back to his community.
A space for a variety of organizations to sell brats, burgers and more, the Red Barn is an avenue to raise money for those in need.
Charlie’s generosity and contributions reach far and wide, and the Shawano Area Community Foundation is honored to be one of the stewards of his giving spirit. The best part about giving to the Shawano Foundation?
“It’s well managed and the money stays local, so you see it helping your neighbors,” Charlie says.
