Family fund helps community research Irish ancestry
For those of you who have Irish or Scots-Irish ancestors, two nationally renowned speakers are coming to northeast Wisconsin to help discover more about those roots, thanks to a grant from the Miller/Anthes Family Fund within the Community Foundation.
The grant helps support a March 13th lecture at the Brown County Library in Green Bay by Fintan Mullan and Gillian Hunt from the Ulster Historical Foundation. The two will hold workshops on how to get the most out of Irish resources and records, gain strategies for breaking down walls, and grasp important historical context that may help fill in gaps in your research.
The Community Foundation is home to many individuals and families like the Miller/Anthes family who have established a fund, and who give generously to the activities and needs they are most interested in supporting — not only here in the Fox Valley but in other regions around the state and the world.
The Foundation offers a variety of flexible fund options to help donors easily and effectively accomplish their giving goals today and for the long-term. See our list of 1,605+ charitable funds that we manage on behalf of donors.
