Nonprofit leaders learning skills to lead better
If you see management of a nonprofit in your future, you can earn a Nonprofit Management Certificate through the Leadership Institute.
The application deadline is Friday, Jan. 13. The class maximum is 12 participants.
The Leadership Institute is a year-long series of seminars led by experts and designed for new nonprofit executive directors or those in the leadership pipeline. The curriculum includes a wide range of leadership, management and technical skill-building programs. The program is specifically designed for small- to medium-sized nonprofits, but senior leaders any sized nonprofit are welcome to apply. 2016-17 was the pilot program of the Leadership Institute and 11 students will graduate this May. The number of positive comments from participants has been encouraging and they are looking forward to offering the 2017-18 Leadership Institute, which runs May 4 through April 2018.
Education modules will cover Personal Leadership, Board Orientation & Leadership, Finances & Financial Management, Fundraising & Resourcing the Mission, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, and Ethical & Legal Issues.
