Newest Foundation employee brings a history of service
Hello! I’m Annette Look and I’m the newest friendly face at the Community Foundation.
My first day as Community Engagement Associate was Sept. 26 and since then I’ve been busy learning about databases, web portals and different types of charitable funds.
In my opinion, there is nothing more rewarding than working for an organization whose mission is to make a positive difference in the community. This belief led me to earn a college degree in Public Administration and to spend seven wonderful years as the executive director of Junior Achievement.
As time progressed, life got pretty hectic so, for my own sanity, I took an 11-year work hiatus to raise my four daughters. I returned to the workforce in jobs at the Town of Menasha, City of Neenah and Future Neenah.
I’m so excited to be a part of the Community Foundation! I’ll be working hard to serve our community, specifically, with fast-track grants and affiliates, as well as supporting the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative.
When I’m not at work, family takes priority. With three daughters out of the nest and a 13-year-old daughter still at home, my six siblings, my husband’s four siblings and our parents, there always seems to be somewhere fun to go and people to see. I’m frequently teased about my voracious appetite, so to counteract my love of eating you’ll find me at the YMCA dancing at Zumba or finding my zen in a yoga class. I love to be outdoors, and trails, bike rides and being on the water all bring me joy. I look forward to meeting many of you and helping you leave a charitable legacy.
