Small acts can save little ones
Small acts can fight evil.
Small acts can succeed where overwhelming force can’t, or isn’t present.
Each of these more than 400 pinwheels displayed at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s Commercial Street building in Neenah, represents a child in our community who was the victim of domestic violence, neglect, sexual assault or severe trauma.
The Child Advocacy Center that this project highlights as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, has been helped along by grants from the Community Foundation’s Ah-Ha Fund and another anonymous fund.
The pinwheel flowers were “planted” outside of the hospital building as a reminder of the violence against children in our community and that it is everyone’s job to help put an end to it.
By small acts.
