Local 5 Live: Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region updates July tornado relief fund

(WFRV)- Months after the July tornado, people across the area continue to show their support for those affected by the storm.

In this segment, Megan Schuessler with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region provides an update on how the fund is progressing and where it currently stands. She explains who their partners are in raising this money, including United Way and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, and how those who are still in need of help can make a request. With many people mistakenly thinking they need a lot of money to make an impact, Megan explains what she means when she says, “you don’t need a fortune, you need a foundation,” and what to keep in mind when it comes to taxes and giving as the end of the year approaches.
