Now is the time to shine the spotlight on the people who go above and beyond to help make the community a better place with their gifts of time.
Each spring, hundreds of people in the Fox Valley area come together to celebrate volunteerism and honor those who serve. Nominate an outstanding volunteer by February 5, 2019.
Volunteer awards in seven categories will be presented during the 22nd Celebrating Volunteers community gala May 1, 2019, in downtown Appleton.

The event at the Red Lion Hotel is $35 per person, $350 per table of 10. Registration will be open March 1.
Thanks to the generosity of award sponsors, each award recipient receives $5,000 for their favorite Fox Valley charity (youth recipient receives $1,000 for charity plus a $1,500 scholarship).
Since 1998, award sponsors have given $691,000 to local charities selected by their award recipients!
Here are the descriptions of the award categories: Arts Award, Business Partnership, Health Care, Volunteer Educator, Janet Berry Volunteer, Mentor and Community Leadership.
The event honors the volunteer spirit of Paul and Elaine Groth, who died in an automobile accident in 1997. The Community Foundation and The Post-Crescent have co-sponsored the gala since it began.
