NPLI Welcomes Lisa Hansen as Program Manager

Published on October 20, 2026

Hello! My name is Lisa Hansen.

I’m so excited to be joining the Community Foundation as the new Program Manager for the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative!

My career background includes practicing law, owning and operating a business, serving as Office Manager for a local nonprofit, and developing and leading a team of regulatory compliance experts.

The common thread throughout my career is that I absolutely love building relationships and have a passion for helping people and organizations grow and thrive through support, resources, and connections that matter.

I’m a hometown native, born and raised in Darboy on the east side of Appleton.

My husband Daren and I lived in the Twin Cities while in graduate school, but we returned to the Fox Valley to raise our two sons, Ben (age 27) and Egan (age 23). We absolutely love the area and the care the people of the Fox Valley demonstrate every day.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family and friends taking advantage of the outdoors: hiking, camping, and kayaking. I also love to craft and thrift shop, and it’s common for us to spend weekends exploring new coffee shops and used bookstores throughout NE Wisconsin.

I look forward to meeting you at community events and in our NPLI events and programs!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to chat. I’m energized by the Community Foundation’s values and NPLI’s mission, and I’m looking forward to playing a part in strengthening nonprofits across the Fox Valley!
