Local 5 Live: Behind the scenes at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region

(WFRV)- It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to help donors make the best charitable choices when giving.

In this segment, Michelle Weber, Chief Financial Officer of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, discusses her work with the foundation and explains what happens behind the scenes when donors make gifts or grants are awarded. She shares what can be learned from the yearly report to the community, and with the foundation being National Standards Accredited, Michelle explains what that is and why it is important. Michelle talks about the article she wrote addressing the importance of attracting young professionals to the non-profit sector.
