Partnership: The new normal

Published on September 16, 2015

The Fox Valley was recently recognized by the Wisconsin Economic Development Association for a public-private partnership that created the first-ever bus service specifically for manufacturing workers to get to their jobs in Neenah. The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region is pleased to have been one of the funding partners.

Public-Private partnership has become the new normal for how innovative ideas are launched.  These partnerships require a clear consensus of need, willingness to collaborate with others and mutual trust. We thank the City of Neenah, Valley Transit, Plexus Corp., Neenah Foundry and Menasha Corp. for finding a solution together.

Partners shared a state award for a new bus service for workers at manufacturing plants in Neenah.

We have a culture of collaboration that puts our region ahead of the curve.  I am happy that collaborative spirit is recognized and admired by peers statewide.

There are many more opportunities for public-private partnerships to make our community what we want it to be. All it takes is partners willing to put the needs of the community first.
