Meet Maria!

Hi! My name is Maria Clark, and I am happy to announce that I have joined the Community Foundation family as their Operations Coordinator. My role is to support administrative operations by managing the front desk and supporting the database team in various tasks to help build data integrity efforts. I am so excited to be a part of an organization that holds space and centers its people and community.

I graduated from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. My education had led me down a path of working with nonprofits and had shaped my drive to supporting mission-driven organizations that centers its values on creating opportunities for and providing support to those who are underserved.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, I worked at the Oregon-based nonprofit Forth as the Systems Manager, supporting and maintaining the organization’s various internal tools, administration, and its database.

When I am outside of work, I am trying to learn and create new baking and cooking recipes. My husband, Kyle and I have our hands full currently with our just-turned-2-year-old black lab rescue, Reese, and are trying to give him as much play time as we can give!

I am looking forward to learning more about the Community Foundation and the surrounding community itself. I am even more excited to building new connections, relationships, and to supporting the great work the Foundation and its staff are doing.
