With the sale of Greg Strayer’s business several years ago, he and his wife, Raquel, were in a position financially to support their favorite charitable causes.

They chose the Community Foundation, through its geographic affiliate in Shawano, as the avenue for distributing grants to many charitable organizations and community projects, now and after their lifetimes.

They said their philosophy on life is similar to their thoughts on raising children.

“What you put into life, you get back out of life,” Raquel said. Their goal is to continue to support youth and their community to build a strong future.

The Strayers’ spirit of giving will live on after them through a bequest in their will to the Shawano Area Community Foundation, for which Raquel also volunteers as a board member. Future leaders of the SACF will make sure their gift supports their long-term charitable wishes, forever.
