Shawano Area Community Foundation

Preserving and improving the quality of life in Shawano and the surrounding area.

We warmly invite you to the Harvest Moon Soirée, a fundraising event for the Shawano Area Community Foundation on November 8, 2024. Click here for more information or to purchase tickets.

Our Story

The Shawano Area Community Foundation was established in 1990 by community volunteers to preserve and improve the quality of life in Shawano and the surrounding area. It is an affiliate of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.

Grants from our donors’ funds support charitable organizations, whose programs create opportunities or support those in need, which improves the community for everyone. It’s a circle of giving.

For example, here’s how one of our grants helped the Boys & Girls Clubs of Shawano continue serving kids and families in our community during the Covid-19 pandemic:

We have many very generous people and organizations in our community, and you can get to know them through stories we share about folks like our friend Charlie Harvey, who gives back to his neighbors in unique ways. Read his story here, and watch his video:
