Full Circle Moment: From Fund Holder to Hired

Hello, my name is Kaelyn Ahola and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Marketing & Communications Manager at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. My role is to support implementation of strategic marketing and communication initiatives, steward the foundations message of philanthropy in our communities, and be the in-house guru on all things website, email, social media, and design.  I am a proud alumnus of the University of Wisconsin Steven’s Point having graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an emphasis in graphic design.

My story with the Community Foundation didn’t start with my hire.

I have worked for two local nonprofits that have received grants from the foundation. I opened an endowment fund with the foundation, being a first-generation fund holder and starting a legacy of philanthropy in my family. I have volunteered my time here, being a voice for young donors and nonprofits. And now, I am honored to be working within the Community Foundation to continue the tenure of this community pillar. Joining the Community Foundation marks a new chapter in my career, having previously served as an internal marketing expert for both direct service and collective impact. I am beyond excited to be joining a team dedicated to philanthropy and knitting our community together though engaged donors, thriving nonprofits, and dedicated students.

When I’m not here, I am spending time with my husband, friends, and plants. I am a creative at heart; tinkering and building. I enjoy finding time to carve out a few quiet moments to read.
