LU library offers info on funders
A series of workshops offered by Lawrence University’s Office of Corporate, Foundation, and Sponsored Research Support will open the door to a wealth of funding information for area nonprofit organizations.
Lawrence University has partnered with Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, Oshkosh Area United Way and United Way Fox Cities to bring a Funding Information Network (FIN) location to our community. Based at Lawrence’s Seeley G. Mudd library, FIN offers Foundation Center information, including searchable grant and funder databases.
You don’t have to wait for a class to get started—Lawrence’s reference librarians are happy to provide a quick orientation any time the library is open. Anyone who is interested in more in-depth training can attend a hands-on workshops on how to use this valuable database.
Upcoming dates include:
• Wednesday, May 16, 9-10:30 a.m.: Introduction to the Funding Information Network Workshop (at Lawrence’s Seeley G. Mudd library, IT room, Second Floor)
• Tuesday, July 17, 10:30-noon: Introduction to Proposal Writing Workshop (at James P. Coughlin Center, Meeting Room B in Oshkosh, 625 E. Country Road Y.)
