Purpose

The Violet and Ruben Laack Memorial Fund was established in 2014 to support educational, library, speech, forensics and theater programs in the Chilton area.

The Laack Memorial Fund grant application cycle will be open from May 1 – May 31, 2025.

What We Fund

Library, speech, forensics and theater programs in the communities of Brillion, Chilton, Hilbert, Kiel, New Holstein and Stockbridge. Grant awards rotate on an annual basis among interest areas (library, speech, forensics and theater). The 2025 area of focus is theater.

What We Don’t Fund

Organizations that are not among those determined by the IRS to be public charities. This encompasses most charitable, scientific, social service, educational and religious organizations described in § 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1), (a)(2), or (a)(3) of the tax code, and private operating foundations. The Foundation will not normally make grants to private non-operating foundations. Grants may also be made to units of government (this includes Native American tribal governments) for public purposes.
