COVID-19 Community Response Fund Exceeds $540,000!
Thanks to the people, businesses and organizations that have given to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, the total gifts and corporate commitments received has exceeded $540,000!
The fund was established March 17 by the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and United Way Fox Cities, with $50,000 from each organization, and additional gifts have been pouring in from the community.
Corporations, individuals and those with funds within the Community Foundation quickly rallied to give to the fund, which provides immediate basic needs relief, short-term response and longer-term recovery to nonprofit organizations in Outagamie, Calumet, Shawano, Waupaca and the Neenah-Menasha area of Winnebago counties impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency. All nonprofits are, and will continue to face dire needs and critical shortages during and after the crisis.
We are celebrating and thanking all those who have given so generously on our new Gifts to the COVID -19 Community Response Fund page which we will update periodically.
On behalf of the United Way Fox Cities, we at the Community Foundation are so grateful for everyone who is making a difference and impacting lives during this coronavirus pandemic.
